So, if anyone is interested in a relatively-introductory, extremely readable book on machine learning, it's the best I've come across so far.
Doesn't have much deep learning, but you get through it and understand the expansiveness of the field.
Comp. Sci. has Knuth, Russel and Norvig, etc. Other fields most certainly have their own, and knowing which those are is interesting and worth getting an answer to.
It is amazing how approachable both books are for beginners, but you will be diving a lot into academic stuff as you go along.
If you’re interested in an introduction to AI as a broader topic, most graduate courses use the same book (Russel & Norvig) and others may publish their syllabi online.
