It turns out that even scientists can be dishonest and corrupted by politics.
He goes well beyond the evidence against carbohydrates, but his claims for the politicization of diet recommendations is the best I have encountered.
Finally he makes a convincing argument that neither eating less nor exercising more are good ways to lose weight.
Taubes really opened my eyes to the fact I could change what I eat and feel ten times better.
So - in that sense, "Good Calories, Bad Calories" was a great book for me in 2011. It showed me how easy it was for you to to be taken in by fraudulent writing.
