Recommended for those who wants to quickly refresh their algorithms knowledge.
I bought it as a refresher that wouldn't be as dry as reading CLRS, and because I've been recently helping a friend who is beginning a CS degree.
Grokking Algorithms is illustrated with cartoons and examples that kids could understand, but it doesn't indulge in the same weird quirky whimsy that some of these texts do.
Great book, especially for someone like me who doesn't deal too much with this stuff (as an embedded systems engineer).
It was a great introduction for me, and I had a lot of fun discussing the topics with my father, who is a software engineer.
