Land of Lisp (only recommended if you want a fun sort of scheme-ish style approach to seeing some of the features of common lisp in a simple mostly text based games setting)
Technically, I'd say "Land of Lisp" has been the most fun and the most rewarding.
Build a HTTP server, DSLs for producing HTML and SVG, a quirky game, and then combine all 3 to build a quirky web-based game that renders the game board using SVG. And that's just scratching the surface. Lisp and LoL make programming fun.
My copy arrived late last week. Can't wait to start reading it.
I'm not even finished with it, but it has still introduced me to Lisp, functional programming, artificial life, and web servers as well completely changed the way I program.
