Great book! IIRC, after attending the 2005 USA memory championships as a journalist, he became intrigued and started training and in one year became USA Memory champion in 2006 at age 24
Moonwalking with Einstein - A fun read about a journalist who took researching a memory competition a bit too seriously.
Moonwalking with Einstein. Not particularly new but a pretty entertaining book on the Art of Memory. Not particularly useful (the book kind of says so itself) but insightful and methods of loci is still a marginally useful skill to have.
Moonwalking with Einstein is a good read. I found it worth the time I spent on it. But it's on an altogether different league.
It was a very nice story (read it a year ago) but don't let it fool you, mnemonics aren't knowledge (just tricks).
