"Off to be the wizard" is pretty light and fun.
It's not on the quality level of these books, but the Off to Be the Wizard series of books are humorous programming-as-magic tales that skirt the sci-fi/fantasy line.

Also Scott Meyer released a sequel to his "Off to be the Wizard" book (Spell or Highwater) and I finished reading it soon after the Taken trilogy. It's a great series too.
