Also it shares some examples to prove that our brain is not limited by its senses. Those examples just blew my mind wide open.
This book explains in simple terms a very awesome and elegant theory on how mind works. Incredibly fascinating, I've learned a lot from it and it explains a lot of things, and will change the way you think about thinking process.
Similarly, On Intelligence is an absolutely brilliant book on what 'intelligence' is, how it works, and how to define it.
The creator of the Palm Pilot presents his theory of intelligence and how the brain works. It's compelling.
At some point, he off-handily mentions that what we call “consciousness” may just be what it feels like to have a neocortex, similar to how vision is nothing more than just what it feels like to have eyes.
