An essay about how to handle life and how to see what is really important
I also found Seneca's "On the Shortness of Life" completely recalibrated my thinking about the passage of time and how I spend the time allotted me.
Although it can be read in an hour or two, it completely rewrote the way I approach life – particularly by reframing procrastination and idleness.
These 2 books together will introduce you to the Stoic philosophy which I just found a couple of years ago and it has made my life much better.
Seneca's "On the Shortness of Life" and his collected "Letters on Ethics", in that order, compelled me to re-evaluate.
It's extremely short and to the point on how best to spend one's life and how we have enough time to do whatever we please
