It’s messed with me for weeks and it’s still messing with me.
Even though I can’t replay in my own life, the story still gave me a lot to think about and helps me live happily (and prevent too much existential dread from creeping in).
It made me look at my life and think about how I'd replay it if I could. It's about as introspective as I ever get.
It's ground hog day, but on a lifetime scale. The search for happiness and what it means to be happy.
Each chapter is a vignette into a different era, technology, and country, up to the indie boom of the 2000s. It's not a life-changing read by any means, but it's an extensive and memorable one.
Grimwood's “Replay” is a great time travel novel if you're into that.
