The moment you find out what the title is referring to gave me goosebumps.
when it explains the whole "Dark Forest" concept I guarantee that you'll be amazed (don't research the concept before reading the book).
I also didn't like the 1st part very much but I was blown apart after reading the 2nd.
The main plot driver over all three books (that the universe is a dark forest) is highly plausible.
