this book is well worth the read. Peter is a very educated and factual guy, and it's hard to disagree with the normalized vectors of change he is describing.
Uses lots of data to back up his hypothesis two events 1. the US no longer policing the world 2) demographic shifts in most countries not reproducing have create a situation where the the world as we know it is changing, and things are only going to get worse, the peace we know and the supplies we rely on will no longer exist soon.
How the globalisation is coming to an end, how the US Navy made Chinese power possible, how the 21st Century will be American after all, and many other counter-intuitive things. A must read IMO.
Probably needs to be read with a grain (or two or three) of salt, but it’s pretty thought-provoking.
