Don't know about changing my life, but these books changed the way i look at things:
These books gave me a playful look at Buddhism and Taoism, right when I needed it. Shifted my entire worldview.
For me, when I was a teenager in the 80s, "The Tao of Pooh" really shaped how I think about the nature of the world and how rebelling against so many things was really holding me back and making me frustrated.
My pick is "Tao of Pooh," which is kind of a westerner's ELI5 of Taoism. I can't overemphasize how useful Taoism has been for me as a lens through which to understand and participate in the world.
I directly attribute daily meditation to reading The Tao of Pooh. It was a parting gift as I left to go travelling.
The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff is a delightful introduction into Taoism that opened my mind to eastern philosophy as a young adult.
It's been a life-changer since I'd read it some three years ago.
