A book series that, now that I think of it, fed probably disturbing amounts of growth of my personal morals.
I’m reading through the Wheel of Time series right now and it’s the best series I’ve ever read.
A bit farther down the list would be the newest Wheel of Time books. Brandon Sanderson annoyed me at first, but once I got over that I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it had a very similar style to the original. I enjoyed it immensely.
It was translated into Russian so painfully slow I've just forced myself to read it in English, learning the vocabulary and grammar on the way.
Overall, it's a well written, engaging story that begins an amazing series, should you become interested and desire to continue reading/listening.
Entertaining, yes, and certainly worth reading, but the series doesn't stand out to me in that way.
I came to identify with the three main male characters (Perrin, Mat and Rand) at different periods of my life, and the story of them tackling their own personal struggles really inspired me.
